OutsideThread is a waitlist, not yet a product. This page says exactly what happens to what you type into it. Last updated 14 August 2026.
What we collect
Only what you put in the signup form. If you sign up as a finance professional, that is your name, your email address, your LinkedIn profile URL and the hourly band you picked. If you sign up as a vendor, it is your name, your email address, your company and your rough cost per qualified conversation.
There is nothing else. No account, no password, no cookies set by this site, no advertising or profiling trackers. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address to serve the page and to block abuse, as any web host does.
Why we collect it
To verify who you are, to tell you when the marketplace opens and to understand what people expect to be paid. That is the whole purpose. You gave it to us by choosing to submit the form, and that consent is the basis we rely on.
Where it goes
Into our own database, hosted in the EU by Cloudflare, who also serve this site. It is not emailed to a third-party form service, copied into a CRM, or sent anywhere else. Cloudflare and us — that is the whole list.
Your details are never sold, and never passed to a vendor. Your LinkedIn URL in particular is how we verify you and is never shown to anyone on the other side of the marketplace.
How long we keep it
Until the marketplace launches and you decide whether to join it, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the project is wound up instead, the lists are deleted with it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — by email, with no reason needed, and we will act on it within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
